Things in FFXI you just can't make sense of?
Godd@mn. I used all my +'s in this ONE thread. Lmao

Inb4 Lol rdm nukes. Wouldnt be so lol if they got put on the good ***. Or really why any one job can't wear any gear it wants. It's like everyone in vanadiel has an ingrained, severe, sense of style that cannot be broken. "A PALADIN would never wear that! GAWD!" Phoenix.Rieul said: » Why does RDM get Archery but not Staff skill? Better yet, why can RDMs equip so many H2H weapons yet have no H2H skill? Let us look at what RDMs in essence are namely magically assisted fencers, modeled a bit after cavilers and the 3 musketeers. Not the sort to slip on a set of brass knuckles and close distance. Asura.Calatilla said: » Why do SE release gear like this >> maniacus sash. Then add jobs that have no use for it, namely SMN and BRD, but not RDM that could actually make use of it. BRDs have offensive magic. Agree on RDM. So you're saying BRD is on Maniacus becuase it has elegy and requiem?

Also, why does Red Mage of all jobs NOT get the job trait "Fencer"? Ragnarok.Jessikah said: » .... Also, why does Red Mage of all jobs NOT get the job trait "Fencer"? Honestly, Fencer isn't even for WAR, its for PLD/WAR, perhaps BLU/WAR not that any BLUs do that. And anything that useful for RDM will NOT be given to them. Unless they care to /WAR of course. Sylph.Kawar said: » i know this is going to sound silly but fencer and what dose it do the part that u said it could help pld/war caught my eye. It increases your critical hit rate by 5% and grants a 40% TP Bonus to weapon skills. But my point is, it's called "Fencer". If any job should get a trait called "Fencer" it should be Red Mage. No other job fits that description quite so well. Heck, its Artifact weapon is actually called Fencing Degen! And most of its best swords are other fencing-style weapons. And yet Red Mage never gets the trait naturally. I can counter a huge dragon's full on gaping mouth or spike tail, but I cannot counter the sword/club/foot of a construct 1/5th the dragon's size.
Why monsters have over 50 times the HP a player has. Why the weighted doors in Quicksand caves cannot be triggered by dragging monsters on top of them. Why monsters in a dream world drop tangible money from 20 years ago. Also why this money is regarded as ancient currency. 20 years = ancient? Well, ***. Why when you look at current time it shows the Vana'diel year and it's about year 1100 or so, and the game supposedly started at around year 860 or whatever. This would mean that my character is nearly 300 years old. How there are old NPCs. Why Maat can use any Hand to hand on any job, but Warrior can't use something like Spinning Slash. Why SE didn't give Yonin and Innin to Nin sub. Da *** does shemo do with the Seals and where does he get the orbs? Why SE doesn't bring Lion's memory back and give us that boat ride. Why we can't just elect to be emperor of Aht Urghan and tap dat Empress after saving Luzaf's soul. Why Prishe suddenly fell in love with the player at the end of COP, ambiguously. I don't recall ever doing anything awesome for her, other than beat Promathia. Why Lilisette would choose to go to Lillith's world, and why the maws in our world still function after we seal them. I mean, either we didn't do our job or WOTG is just *** in the head. Why we tremble in fear of Naja. Why the world depends on us to save it, but has people like the Campaign Era warriors fighting battles. ***, if I could use Mighty Strikes every 45 seconds and spam WSes as fast as Striking Bull... Yet they lose, constantly, without player intervention. IIRC, the vast majority of the Campaign Heroes are too old or too dead to fight during the "present" 20 years later, excluding certain characters like Shantotto. So that strikes out Zilart, Promathia, Aht Urghan, etc.--and correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it stated that very few people, just players and characters like Lilisette, use the Cavernous Maws? By that advantage alone, players are head-and-shoulders above the Campaign Heroes as far as world-savin' potential. And since we're too busy in Abyssea or Voidwatch to fight Campaign Battles, the Heroes are getting swamped and losing battles left and right just because they're insanely outnumbered. They don't have time to think about saving the world, because their home nations take priority, and those are under immediate siege. Quote: Why monsters have over 50 times the HP a player has. Because we'd be hitting for single digits to make up for the difference otherwise, and that's just no fun. :( Quote: Why monsters in a dream world drop tangible money from 20 years ago. Also why this money is regarded as ancient currency. 20 years = ancient? Well, ***. I think this is more of a player thing than anything. I've seen the Japanese players call it {rear}{money} before. Also: the currencies have dates on them that pretty much have their ancient status validated by part of one of your following questions: Quote: ...and the game supposedly started at around year 860 or whatever. Why they haven't extended the 2007 2-handed change buffs to 1-handed classes at this point.

Also: the currencies have dates on them that pretty much have their ancient status validated by part of one of your following questions: It's because of how thier alphabet can look like diffrent things depending on what its next to, {rear} is essentially the same as saying "dynamis" when paired next to a location name, like {rear}{San d'Oria} would be the same as Dynamis - San d'Oria I've also seen {hill}{Aerial Blast} used as greetings before, altho i havent really seen it used in a long time now. I hate, loathe and abhor the fact that I cannot open a door while invisible. I mean, YOU know your hand is there? I mean it's like not you're trying to get freaky with the flans.
Well, invisible = intangible? I hate doors.
How I can put sneak/invis up as brd and sing a song and invis drops but sneak stays up. Epic logic fail SE, epic logic fail.
And the rainbow in the dark in La Theine Plateau (at least Dio is smiling somewhere). 1.) How it can be 08:00 in Yhoator Jungle AND Western Altepa Desert at the same time.
2.) We've mastered the non-trivial acts of instant travel between cities, continents, between Vana'diel and the moon, eras of time, and even dimensions, yet we still have to walk through SSG to get to Norg. 3.) "Rear" translates to ura (裏) in Japanese which sort of means "Reverse/Opposite side (Hidden from view)" When paired with a location you can sort of think of it as like "Bizzarro San d'Oria" or something. "Ura" is also used in terms for like "Backdoor admission," "Underworld," "Hidden meaning (of what someone actually said),"Secret Name/Alias", etc., so it can have a pretty dark/hidden/secret connotation in addition to its literal uses (葉裏 - "Houra" - underside of a leaf, for example). It doesn't have actually anything to do with "Dynamis," which means "Will to Fight," in Greek and is the same in Japanese (デュナミス = "Dyunamisu") - And isn't "near" anything else in Japanese, because "Dyu" is not a naturally occurring mora. 三☆ themoreyouknow tl;dr Don't make ***up and spread it as fact. Dunno if it's been said-
Getting 2 hides from one rabbit.... ninja edit- hides not pelts Coeurl Jerkin
LV 70 THF BST RNG DNC Hey, let's +1 it and add a job to it. Torama Jerkin LV 70 RDM THF BST RNG DNC There's a few other pieces of equipment that have added jobs on the HQ version. I also think there's a piece that takes a job OFF on the HQ version from the NQ version. (Sorry, I don't post a lot on the forums and don't know how to make a link that you can highlight and see the item.) Players that still main White, Pink, Blue.
