I have recently added another character to my account. copied and pasted the bio info and yet 5 days later it won't link my char. Am i doing anything wrong?

Delete it and then try adding again. (Yes you will have to put a new code in your biography on lodestone) This happened to me earlier today and that fixed it for me.
