Windows 7 on 14?
I was just wondering if windows 7 is compatible for ff14.
Yes, but rather than making a thread on here wouldn't have been more simple to go to the official site and look at the required specs? or check lodestone?
XIV Official Site The Lodestone - FFXIV Required Specs I looked at the site specs already but i am having trouble installing the game. It says it requires windows vista service pact 2.
I'm on windows 7, had no issues at all (just as well as I'm a technophobe)
hmmmm
i was able to run the benchmark smoothly but i am still not able to install the game.

I remember hearing a lot of people saying they had this problem back in 2010 but I can't remember what they did to sort it. Only solution I remember seeing people do was reformatting which can take a while. If you are, try making certain you have your UAC (User Account Control) turned off. The pop ups from it asking if you are "really, I mean really sure" you want to install programs sometimes pisses off their installer. The UAC can be found in control panel> account settings> user account control (at the bottom or left usually) Turn the slider all the way to "never notify". If you already have both of these things, I can unfortunately be of no more help without actually seeing the problem first hand. Hi there... I know about this Situation.
It's a problem with Direct X... you must install this here Direct X Redist package first you'll extract it to a place you know where to find and open the setup in there, then you'll wait till finished and restart your PC... then you should be able to install FF XIV smoothly... and before you open the Config of FFXIV pls start the normal Game.exe because there were also a problem with configuring the game before starting. ^_^ I hope I was able to help you and sorry for my bad english. With the game disc in your comp, in "Computer" (where it shows your hard drive and other drives) right click the disc drive the game is in and select Open. then right click the "ffxivsetup" file and click properties. Then in the "Compatibility" tab check in the "run this program in compatibility mode for:" box and select vista service pack 2. Hit apply, then Ok then double click on "ffxivsetup" so it runs and see if it works that time. Neodrakon said: » Hi there... I know about this Situation. I think the issue is UAC, turn it off.

take your DVD cover and look on the backside there stands recommend WIn7 32 or 64 bit version
Probrally should of renamed the title to the actual problem to avoid troll comments.

It wouldn't work without doing something illegal.
