Coming back from a couple months break. Couldn't afford to get on so i've missed alot.

Basically, Red Mage is my baby and i'm wondering if there's anything major i need to get my hands on, pick up, etc etc?

Any tips on anything i've missed would also be cool

That depends, how long of a break/do you like meleeing on it or not? If yes to 2, Gain-Str, Temper. If no to 2, new VW/WoE Drops replacing older pieces/Cure potency body so you don't need Add-on augmented gear for curing. Otherwise, not much has changed.

New curepot *** (Oretenia's cape, nefer kalasiris/+1/Heka's kalasiris) is honestly the biggest change imo, can actually cap cure potency on RDM now.

Rdm is still a gimp healer with Cure IV and a gimp nuker with Tier IVs (you got Thunder IV now, woop~de~doo).
You got a new Double Attack spell, some extra cure potency gear, Magic Burst trait II and a new JA that allows you to Chainspell cast 1 spell every 10 minutes (game breaker right there).
Oh, you also got Raise II, huzzah!!!

Sorry, Rdm 90 here and I haven't had a reason for playing it in a while, aside from capping enfeebling :(

Las time I used it was to help a friend get Serpentes Cuffs off Mictlantecuhtli. High Fast cast is fun and all, just not enough of a reason to play the job consistently imo..

I didn't level Blm so I still use it for trial staves, that's about it :/ Technically for old content but I can use Blu for that...
