Sorry, I was waiting to go in Abyssea for a LSE, and while standing there on Red Mage (the job that I am always on), I got bored, and wanted to vent my frustration.

And there it is^

RDM in abyssea wut.

very nice lol. Although you're job locked on RDM in abyssea?!?!? No other jobs leveled? Abyssea pretty much made RDM pointless in a pty setting.

Nope, I have WAR WHM BLM BRD DNC, but I usually go RDM or WHM because no one else wants to go those jobs <_<

WHM enfeebs do just fine, nothing honestly requires RDM enfeebs inside abyssea, I love the job but its pretty useless atm :/

I wouldn't say useless.
A friend and I go duo almost everything in Abyssea as THF and RDM (inb4 MNK and WHM bro), and it works pretty well.

WHM enfeebs may WORK, but RDM enfeebs can definitely make a battle a little less painful.

BLU and WHM I could def see feeling like they want to /wrists cause of abyssea lol. If anything abyssea un-job locked me on rdm :P Nevertheless I know your pain. Remember being locked on RDM for events (pre-abyssea)for a looooong time.

Even beyond only having C4 as your highest spell for healing. Most mobs are extremely highly resistant to enfeebles in abyssea(even if you're capped & have 8/8 merits. Refresh is pointless thanks to 15-20/tic in atmas and new refresh gear for a lot of jobs. The list goes on.

RDM solo is still awesome, but soloing isn't much of an option if you're running in a shell that does regular events and you're a sack. So yea, talking about a jobs versatility in a pty setting is pretty valid if you aren't a hermit lol.

I do RDM and THF mainly because I can do SOME of the yellow procs on Red Mage, and still be able to cure the THF.

Yeah, BLM/WHM could work too, but if we get in a bad situation then I probably won't be able to save the THF.

I wound up leveling RDM thru abbyssea, and it still has a great place inside gotten great use out of it in low man seal farming etc where you don't need a curebomb. People who say whm debufs are enough haven't seen sabotuer Para 2 shut something down completely lol.

Gimme Cure V and I'd be back on RDM in no time!

I like having a RDM who can debuff.

Our shell doesn't have a dedicated MNK, NIN or WHM so it's nice when a RDM comes along.

RDM is far from useless even if it's not optimal.

So level the jobs? You seriously play the entire game without a whm? Sounds like laziness to me on other players part. I only see two jobs for you at 90 WHM and BRD, your telling me your shell would rather you come BRD? (another useless job inside abyssea).

Edit: MNK and NIN are not the only jobs that can duo the entire game with a WHM.

Sure it's great, but you don't need that on anything ever.

If you want to duo something and proc grellows, go BLM/WHM. Has access to cure IV and Haste (same ***RDM has access to), -na's, and it can still enfeeble because guess what! BLM has enfeebling skill *gasp*, and MND gear. Also with all the refresh atma/gear, it can keep up curing while still doing grellow nukes. I know, totally mind-boggling. THEY ALSO HAVE STUNN ZOMG!
