I just completed my THF AF3+2 set. I melee in the full set minus the feet. I use Homam Gambieras and Twilight Belt to hit 26% haste. Now that I have the full AF3+2 set I am wondering... do I want to swap out my feet and melee in full AF3+2 set now? I can add the Tiercel Necklace and get 24% haste if I wear the full AF3+2. But missing 2% haste seems like it would not be worth it. I could get 25% haste if I used the Rapidus Sax dagger in my off hand. I currently own all the nice rare/exe freebie daggers in the game and have the magian trial evasion dagger.

So my questions for discussion are:
-Should I sacrifice 2% haste so I can wear full AF3+2 w/ 24% haste?

-Should I offhand Rapidus Sax and wear full AF3+2 to hit 25% haste and sacrifice a better dagger in my hand?

Thanks for the help in advance.

Someone somewhere ran the numbers. You are going to get your highest amount of damage (most of the time) using 4/5 +2 (Head, Body, Hands, Legs) and Homam Feet vs. Full Set.

Yes, but only if you are in abyssea and have triple attack stacked high enough. In any other situation, no.

Thanks for the help everyone. I had a feeling the capped haste was the way to go but a friend with the full af3+2 set told me that is what he uses.

Remember, you are sacrificing a LOT of good stats from the af3 hands to use nusku.

I'm confused by this topic here... What does using a sash have to do with the AF3+2 hands? And why would anybody use the nusku sash over Twilight Belt anyways?

I think it was to maintain 25% haste and wear nuska you would have to lose af3+2 gloves. But your right twilight is better option for belt. I have shinny object syndrome.

Oh ok ya, that makes more sense, since you'd have to use dusk (+1) to use nusku's sash.. My point still stands though lol. Ok carry on people.

Nusku is only really useful if you are building a TP set with the Omnipotent atma in abyssea.

Is there ever really a situation where that's warranted Kir? I thought most DD combos (basically regardless of job) went Apoc + RR + (third situational by job, but highest "DD potential" would be) A & O

I personally do:
zelus tiara + body/hand/leg/feet +2 + Twilight belt.

I don't have head +2 and I do not think the minus 5 evasion is going to kill me.

It can be good if you have a twashtar (+50 dex for WS mod). I've never tried it personally.

5% proc rate with full set, and those ONLY if you Triple attack. Not worth losing any haste over.

When I refered to using Homam for tp I was refering to the feet not the legs.

How do you figure?

25% haste and 13% DW (Rapidus)
or
24% haste and 18% DW (Auric)

vs

An additional .3% haste at 26%, and some stats on the gloves? Save the gloves for WS or JA where they belong, you're going to be swinging so fast with Nusku's that you'll easily make up for it.

The only time that .3% is really worth it is if your heavily hasted

Cause you can cap haste without the belt. Adding 5% DW on the belt is like adding 5% MORE haste over the cap

Basically a difference of 7acc or 5atk between the two. Homam was free and I use it for my range attacks. Dusk +1 would cost me 500k or so. They might be the better of the two but at this point I see it as a minor difference.
