I am listed as a registered donor after my death. I'm all for that, but I'm not going to have my organs used for scientific reasons. >.>;

I don't know if I'd have a problem using my organs for scientific reasons.. because in the end it will help someone.. right?

I just don't want my organs being chopped into pieces or poked in unnecessary ways. If you're going to separate my remains, at least do it so they are all in one piece. That's just me, though. I like the simple gratification of knowing someone will have their life back because of my organs, not the prolonged research that might result in nothing. Each to their own.

My grandmother (mother's mother) donated her body to science when she died a few years ago. She had gone through both Colon and Intestinal Cancer a couple times each, and discussed it with all of us before she died, and we were fully supportive of her wishes. Hopefully the testing they do with her body will help them find some better treatments, cancer *** sucks...
