Starting with Esuna.. since it only removes effects that I currently am afflicted with.. I'm not standing by the melee (which are the ones getting effects on them).. doesn't really help much.
Ok, so I can cast Sacrifice on them, and then do Esuna, assuming, the right effect gets transferred to me.. Afflatus Solace has to be activated for the 'bonus' of spells transferred- but for Esuna to work on the multiple effects, Afflatus Misery, has to be activated...
Really expect me to do all that?! I wouldn't want to use Misery and lose my bonus that I've gained up from Curing with Solace on. The recast for Erase is not really that long- rather just cast that a few times on the melee or a -na spell.

Auspice is nice but wont get the full effect since I would never really be under Misery in an event... maybe a zerg vs something? idk..
--
Cura is nice but like above with Sac/Esuna I'm never near the melee ever so I should never take some dmg.. Maybe getting hit with an unlucky nukega- Cura could heal alot of HP for low MP but that really doesn't happen much.
By the way: Since I do a lot of LS events and duo/trioing with friends, I've used Misery a lot more than Solace. I love how I take damage and all of a sudden my Cura turns into a 30mp Curaga II+ :>
So you're calling the new abilities and spells pointless because you're lazy?
Not because I'm lazy- because just casting Erase 3 times is about the same and doesn't lose my Solace bonus.. You have to swap to Misery to get the boost to Esuna- and if you're close enough to get afflicted by w/e effect anyway something is wrong.
Esuna is *** awesome. Sacrifice is useful if you're out of range and a number of people got hit by an AoE debuff. Cura is great - 30 mp you can spam if eating light-moderate aoe damage for hardly any enmity (example from tonite, nightmare cactuar). Auspice is subtle blow+10 for your dd, wonderful on a number of things, especially salvage bosses.
Jurai go quit WHM since you have no idea what you're donig.

It's not for every situation. These spells have specific uses, primarily out of mainstream XPing. They bear a significant strategic weight.

Auspice's ---bonus-- only works when you have Misery on, if you switch off it doesn't work. (I never said it's original effect didn't.)
And yes Esuna is awesome.. but you should not be affected by the debuf in the first place..
Same with Cura.. you should not be in aoe range in the first place.
Auspice works full time, only thing misery does is give you en-light for yourself.
Solace stoneskin bonus is static and not affected by solace cure accumulation.
Esuna, if the status isn't going to harm you, no reason not to stand in AoE and remove detrimental effects such as att/acc down, bio, blind, etc. quickly. Psychflayers just got owned.
Again, you don't know what you're talking about.

Cure Spells: grants the target the effect of Stoneskin for a short duration.
Sometimes it's pretty hard to not get hit lol. I mean, some monsters have some big AoE ranges and sometimes you have to move just close enough that you'll get hit in order to reach the tanks when they're facing away from the mages. Sometimes you can't just say, oh curing him can wait, I'll wait til the next AoE to rush in and cure. Maybe on omega if you get hit by floodlight and hyper pulse by accident with Misery on you can use an Echo Drop, then Esuna and take off blind, bind, and gravity all at once.

The recast on Erase is 15 seconds.
With some haste/fast cast items it's not really 15 sec.. and even if it was, the time to cast all the 'new' spells to heal the status would take longer still.

ftw/ +1 Ifrit!!
Ifrit -2
While Afflatus Solace is activated, the amount of HP you restore via Cure spells and the job abilities Benediction and Martyr will be recorded up to a limit determined by your character's level. This accumulated amount will determine the bonus value granted to specific spells.
It's not static, the more you heal, solace adds up, the more powerful the Stoneskin effect is..
Esuna, yea if it's not gonna hurt you sure go for it- I never said avoid doing that.
Sry not everyone trolls all uber forums before posting their thought on the new spells.. Yea I just posted my thought on them, not any definitive answers.
I haven't tested or used these things in enough situations to know how useful they really are

You suck. I'm better at you in a video game for X & Y reasons.
you win 500 intraweb points! Use them wisely.
Anyways its only with trial and error/ Or special situation you will finally "figure" the purpose of these spell.. no use fighting over what its used for.

It's interesting how many WHM's are gonna be deliberatly trying to get hurt and afflicted by stuff now in endgame just so they can make thier spells more useful lol Let's see some WHM melee stuff with ice spikes to get paralyzed and spam esuna lmao
Tbh a lot of the new WHM stuff looks pretty situational and isn't ment to replace curaga or erase but supplement them in emergencies, only thing I see being full timed is that stoneskin cure... that's pretty hot for me as a PLD or SAM.
