I only leveled it just to trio with my friends before they quit at 56-ish though, it was fun. Ah well, leveling COR anyway, so...

If the people you play with don't want a DNC, get new people to play with.

lol, does this mean I should switch servers? DNC just only gets party invites and doesn't have any applicable use for Endgame, so really it's just sitting there doing nothing.

Your definition of endgame must differ from mine, because I can't think of many event worth doing that I wouldn't take a Dnc for.

DNC was amazing at 75.

It's apparently one of those "in the know" things.

Which means you need to browse the FFXI section of BG for all of 5 minutes to be in the know.

Dynamis: RDM, SCH and WHM are better for healing, especially lowman (what LS brings more than 10-18 people now anyway?)
Limbus: One exception to the rule. SE Apollyon can be done with SAM+RDM minimum, though a DNC couldn't hurt for haste samba and extra healing...NE Apollyon wouldn't hurt either, really a BLU+RDM minimum @ 85 now
Sky: They would just be a THF with no SA, TA or TH, so it's considered "a waste," especially over better overall DDs, buffers and healers
Einherjar: Can't really afford to wait on Waltz recast to heal a party, and BRD can do better with march over haste samba anyway, so you still have your standard required jobs for this event. Perhaps kite Odin's Fomors? I dunno
Nyzul: This seems to be the other only exception where a RDM can play support while DNC does Waltzes.
Salvage: WAR SAM MNK THF RDM WHM BLM BRD onry, amirite?
ZNM: Can kite a few NMs, from what I've read
HNM: LOL DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT.
Abyssea: EXP Parties, certain NMs probably

Then what the *** have I been hearing and reading that says DNC sucks according to the community when the job came out...? Granted, the ability to heal outside the party is supremely awesome now, I just don't get how it went from "sucks" to moderately useful now.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVED DNC. I'm just so confused how it suddenly became a more accepted job over the years. Haste Samba SHOULD have been a reason, just why now?
