So...
I reinstall FF14 and stuff and I still have this problem that started this afternoon
I go to play and i get a black screen but i still get sound, and i can't figure out why
so i hear the ff music and stuff but i cant do anything

and now it says i dont have a directx device enabled, even thou i have directx installed
What card do you have?
Loaded up and i got no menus, and i saw someone running thru the sky, i could control my char and stuff too, just took forever to load everything, i also saw the character select screen with no menus

That's really odd.. Do you have the latest drivers for your card, and the latest version of DirectX?
Could just be a bug with the card also unless someone else posts with the same card.

i just installed directx to check
and this morning i was playing with no problems, until the game crashed on me
and i'll check for drivers for the card
updating drivers for it right now
