Fishing In XIV

Has anyone actually tried it?

It's terrible. I had a Leve thing to catch 3 fish. I had 30mins to do this in. I caught 1 after 15mins, but I couldn't work out how I managed to catch the one fish.

Needless to say, I ran out of time and gave up.

Kida's fishing guide has links to ffxiv fishing info. Haven't really checked them out though

Man, you guys are so lucky with your beta and ***. I can't seem to get a *** key.

I love fishing. I've caught about 20 fish in a half hour...cooking is a different story. I used the fish I caught to cook for sea sand and got 3/20 >.>

That's normal lol. Took me over a full day. It was easier for me to get the closed beta key lol

fishing is like the other gathering jobs u need to find the right spot to catch some statements to look for

1.You have hooked something but cannot real it in - means you need to still find the soft spot (soft spot meaning spot to catch fish)
2.You reel in line - getting closer to the soft spot
3. the fish takes in line - getting farther to soft spot
4. something about the fish has tired - means you hit the spot you need to then hit the same exact spot again to catch fish.

Same goes for the other gathering jobs (mining wcing etc) just different sayings
Its confusing at start but once you get used to it its quite easy.
