NM Didn't Spawn, Is Wiki Wrong?

Was trying to kill Ankou in the hope i'd save lol 50k on the staff and according to wiki:

# Spawns around the stairway and surrounding area at (J-8) in King Ranperre's Tomb.
# Usually spawns every hour at (20:00-4:00) during the night. If he is killed too close to 4:00, he will respawn two hours later.

So I was there on 2 seperate occasions and didn't get a single spawn.

I have the right area right? Was at J-8 around the staircase, in that area 3 skeletons and a bat spawned in the immediate area.

I know it's kind of a pitiful NM but i'd appreciate any help, maybe what i'm doing wrong.

/rng for widescan and try again?
or maybe someone killed it.
or try going more than just twice to double check to make sure you're not missing it?

It's there. I killed him to get staff for my sch. I followed exactly what wiki said too.


edit: and I apparently still have a screenshot of me fighting him up on my profile. and apparently hit wrong button earlier.

That's the thing, I didn't use widescan but then I started looking around when he didn't spawn, no one could have killed it as I was the only one in zone.

wiki is always right.
