Requires 500 Weapon Skill Points in order to activate the latent effect. Same with the other R/E weapons from KSNMs that have a similar effect.
1 weapon skill point for a solo WS, or opening any SC
2 points for closing a Level 1 SC (Impaction, Liquefaction, Transfixion, Detonation, Scission, Reverberation, Compression, Induration)
3 points for closing a Level 2 SC (Fusion, Fragmentation, Gravitation, Distortion)
5 points for closing a Level 3 SC (Darkness, Light)

Obviously you don't have this yourself or any other single hand +crit weapon but it doesn't split in half like you said it does.
The +crit only effects the weapon itself personally. The only weapon that works for two-weapon +crit is the Destroyers since that's considered "one weapon."
And this is a nice dagger for THFs who still want a decent DPS until they can get enough gil to fork over for something else. Not everyone can fork out 180k on a weapon right away.
The most useless and pointless dagger in the game with the exception of single wielding it whilst fighting hydra. There are better alternatives everywhere. Magnet knife costs 10k and you don't have to unlock it.
I actually think this dagger isn't as bad as people make it out to be. DMG 30 is pretty high overall for a dagger. Delay 205 isn't bad, especially if main handed. The DPS on this site is calculated using the DMG:15 (latent not broken) stat, so you cannot base it on that. Plus with full crit merits, thats +10% crit hit rate, which if offhanded and have maxed triple attack, can be pretty good damage. For those that are very casual gamers, or those that don't have the funds (or want to lose TP whenever they unequip magnet knife to pull if in a non-brd/rng pt), this is the knife for you.
