In terms of value, considering a 2mil ish price jump from Nobles tunic to aristocrats for a 2% potency boost on a body slot, a full 5% raise on a equip slot which generally would be used to provide fairly minimal boosts for WHM.
Personaly I would liken it to a BLMs novio. It'll never carry the same price tag due to the fact that it won't make people stop and comment on big dmg nukes, but it will provide likely an equal boost to it's respective main job.
That said, unless you are 100% a career WHM the price couldnt be justified.
Just some clarification to this page. It may have been patched in some update, but windy needs to control ALL of the areas including Castle O for the BCNM to be available. Just having Castle O isn't enough. Verified this on Bahamut.

No the single cure amounts are not worth the huge price -- it's how much it adds up to after an hour long fight. Believe me, on an 8-man Tiamat without a RDM to back me up, every little bit you cure more is MP saved and less you have to cure the next time around.
I wouldn't drop every dime you have on it but by all means, if you are serious about playing WHM, I'd get it if you can afford it. Better yet -- get the drop yourself and save the gil.

Yes, there is more cure potency gear available now than there used to be, especially for WHM.
However, it's possible (with Roundel Earring) to reach 49% Cure Potency on WHM *without* needing to use Noble's Tunic, Medicine Ring, or augmented ASA pants.
This allows you to use Orison body and Orison legs +1/+2, and don't have to keep your HP "in the yellow" for the ring's latent effect.
It's also a great earring to have for RDM, although I can certainly understand RDMs prioritizing other pricey gear ahead of this.
Waltz potency no longer caps at 30%.
Its possible to hit 50% waltz potency now, so this earring is useful for dancers looking to hit the new potency cap.
I'm surprised to see all the comments focus on this being for WHM. I see this as more valuable for jobs other than WHM. WHM already has great options to increase cure potency. For RDM and SMN on the other hand, being able to squeeze more out of lower level cures is more important.
