Vilma\'s Ring: drops from Rose Garden.
How it can spawn:
First of all, the Overgrown Rose must be killed to activate the timer in which Rose Garden will spawn within 9-13 hours.
If you decide to show up and wait 24 hours and no pop, that doesn\'t mean it\'s a 24 hour + NM, it\'s the fact that the Overgrown Rose has been tampered with since you got there. When I say tampered with, it means that some one has either gotten aggro from or has tried to ranged attack or cast on it etc. Any time it is tampered with, it MUST be killed and the timer MUST restart at time zero and unfortunately wait 9-13\'ish hours.
Rose Garden can\'t spawn at any other locations, it spawns at only (I-7) in Yuhtunga Jungle, don\'t waste your time trying to find alternative ways to spawn this NM. Also, sorry to those who believe in this theory, but it can spawn under any conditions; rainy (single or double) weather does not need to be present for Rose Garden to spawn.

just kill the Place Holder, target the next that pops, sit below the bridge and lock on it. leave the game on for 9 hours, if its still targeted, u have a 3 hr window to wait. if you lost your target, restart the process or try to figure out when it died.
I'm 0/13 with th2, but i know of 1/1 people with no th so its an odd drop rate.
of those 13 kills, there was at least 40 attempts. people will always touch the PH, restarting the timer. GL~

to further elaborate on Seibear's comment, you may still be targeted on the Overgrown Rose if a person got agro and died. If the Rose was agroed at all, the timer resets. You can figure out exactly when the rose got agroed or killed by looking for the conquest update closest to the PH agro/death. count the conquest updates, there is one every hour.
i went 1/6 on mine, 0/5 without TH and 1/1 on blm/thf. it took 2 weeks for it to pop 6 times.

1/56 (spent 2 years on and off camping) most people will give up after a while on this so just stick to it and don't expect a drop rate better then 10%. oh and if you think camping nm's is a pain this nm will drive u insane but dam if getting the drop isn't that much sweeter.

This ring also drops from Voluptious Vilma (hence the name), a NM which Rose Garden is the PH for! It is rarely seen on the public servers due to the fact that Rose Garden (like its PH) cannot be disturbed for a {long time}, otherwise it will not morph into Vilma. If you /do/ manage to find Vilma, take screenshots, cherish them, and kill. She's reported to have a better drop rate, which is assumable.

0/2 currently, popped it without weather, roughly 10:27 after death,
amazingly easy solo using dagger/sword BRD/NIN.
Kept utsusemi up, elegy, slept at start to land debuffs and recast songs, is fantastically un-resistant to songs, not sure on regular magic

After losing ToD on Rose Garden a few days earlier, I went to go see if Rose Garden was up and found Voluptuous Vilma instead. Got the Drop on Vilma's Ring 1/1 on Voluptuous Vilma ^^ Tried with Rose Garden 0/10 XD

Finally got!! 1/64 on Rose Garden I have still yet to see VVilma up and walking around.

Gl to ppl that wanna camp this..just keep it up and you will get it!! Sooner..or larer.

Ahhh, this brings back memories. Went 2/2 on this. Wasn't a big deal for me. I would travel to the pop location when I was done for the day and log out there
