It took me 2 weeks of camping Argus (8% drop rate) to get this and 0 gil. Any dedicated FFXI player can do this. The hardest part is getting the ToD. Once you have that, just be sure to use widescan incase the LK pops since it shares the spawn window (18hrs-30hrs after previous ToD). ToD can easliy be attained while afk. This is a prestigious piece to add to your rare/ex collection.

Anyone can spend gil to buy an item (or even spend real dollars for in game currency), but I find I enjoy camping for rare/ex items since there is still a sense of competition.

Not to mention, you get to save that amount of gil.

Although the accuracy draws many into camping for it, it's also the satisfaction and personal pride one has after camping long and hard for such a fine piece.

Worst camping experience ever. Took about an entire month straight camping everyday to get this. Went 1/8 on it. Congrats to everyone who has the patience to follow through on this. You've earned it!

Specs are 24 lvs higher and not for all jobs. Therefore, this is better simply for that reason, but if u cant afford this/no time to camp, by all means, get the specs. Not like im gonna degrade u for missing out on 3 acc.

camped this nm for no other reason than to get tod when i was away (18-30hr spawn sitting at my tv..no thanks). well i was killing the leeches in the leech king's room semi farming fiend blood, switched to argus' room and went afk to my comp looking at this page for insight, figured i should grab /rng (was /nin) so as i started heading out wtf!!!! argus in front of me..AND totally not trying to be a debby downer it dropped, 1/1, first time ive ever seen the damn thing..im sorry to all you spending so much time on this ; ; i just got really, really lucky ^.^

I remember when players would kill for this piece, they would say.. just buy the PCC.
A couple of years ago i camped this for two weeks straight, then give up after seeing 2 other people get the drop and myself going 0/4 on it.
I returned a number of months later, found LK one day, i was in Dynamis the next day and i had my fathers character waiting in the Maze looking out for it, it popped and i was still in Dynamis Valkurm with 10 minutes to go, i told my coleader, screw this im leaving Dyna early, i rushed on over after warping out and my dad had claimed it on his character and had been holding it for 5-10 minutes with no way of curing himself.
I got there and he was down in red hp, i was also in red hp because i had just unweakened after being hit by a manticore heat breath in Dynamis, so me and my dad Quilly fought Argus in red hp and almost died although we were both 75s, and then the glory of seeing it die and the words telling me that PCA was finally mine, best feeling ever!

Fairly easy to obtain now. Most times I stop by, either he or Leech King are up thanks to the reduced spawn timer. I've gotten PCA for myself and a friend (2/2).
