"Enhances monster correlation effects" means that the modifiers for spells that are advantageous ecosystem-wise (i.e. amorphs > birds, vermin > plantoids, etc.) are increased by 2%. The modifiers aren't decreased if it's the other way around. Either way, it's no huge amount.
