Very helpful to wear this and other skill+ items. It may not seem like much, but it's moving your rod less, and boring down stamina faster. Definitely worth 10k (on Kujata) to have slightly better odds.
This set also adds to your skill prediction. The messages "Bad feeling" etc are based on your skill level, as you level increases the more accurate your prediction will be. At level 1 a bad feeling could actually be a very easy catch
