Decent piece for samurai if you lack Nocturnus Helm or Gnadbhod's Helm.

One extra CHR over monster helm +1 making this the better option for landing charm. You might consider not using this over monster helm/+1 if you lack additional pieces of gear with +charm. BST af hands, legs, and feet +1 are moderately easy to obtain and give a sufficient amount of +charm to make this headpiece more than worthwhile.
Also a decent substitute for a reward/primal rend for those that do not have beast helm +1 and/or Ree Habalo's Headgear.

This will probably get overlooked by many, but this is the most +Fire defense you can get on headgear, to the best of my knowledge.
Possibly worth equipping when one is inside AOE magic range from Bahamut, Suzaku, Cerberus, Wyrm, Tiamat, etc.
Ost Cerveliere + Cerberus Bow + Ruby Ring + Suzaku Sune-Ate + Cerberus Mantle = +96 Fire defense (for SAM or RNG).
Kinda odd that WAR can't equip this, since WAR gets access to most "mask" type equip.
