This is the best head gear for just about every melee job. In addition to the fact that its only lvl 24 i would suggest this to anyone who can afford one.
Tulnig, you neglect two things in your assessment of this equip: 1) if you can make the money do buy this you should be proud as that is an accomplishment much greater than camping a low level NM and 2) people camped these long before it became a r/ex item, so many were 'earned'.
Very nice piece for a lot of jobs, for many levels, and the r/ex one isn't Inv-1 lol, you can drop it if you are so worried about that 1 slot, but I keep mine because there can always be a use for it(Cap stuff etc).
For the amount of time it takes to camp the rare/ex NM successfully, especially in a competitive environment. You'd be better off just farming the gil to purchase this item. Twenty hours of farming for the most basic player at 20k an hour can easily attain this.
Then it can be sold at a later date or kept on a mule. Otherwise you'll spend 10 to 20 hours camping this on average, for an item that will reduce your inventory space and have no value when you finish using it.
For two-handed melee jobs, is this replaced by Precision Bandana - a cheaper item one level later? For DRG, in example, only one non-relic WS uses AGI (and its not that good), and the only one to use DEX is Penta Thrust, but only for 20%. It seems that the higher ACC on the bandana would be preferable.
@ Annora I am 2/2 on this drop with TH2 now it is only a 15% drop rate but at the same time I have not seen this camped constantly since the first year it was available. This can be NPC'd for 1600ish if your done with it but if your planning on leveling multiple jobs this isn't a waste of an inventory spot.
Perfect for PUP, AGI and evasion are great if u solo and the DEX always helps the C in hand-to-hand -.- u have very little to chose from at this lvl and this if worth the money because it can last u 15+ levels.
I am going to buy one of these because I like to be able to move my gear to a mule and not take up space in my mog house as much as I can help it. So no I am not a gil buyer and yes I will buy this instead of getting the R/EX version. assumptions, assumptions, assumptions. They kill you in the long run!
