Pallas's Bracelets For The "Big 3"

I'm a Mithra Blu trying to upgrade my Hands. For Frenetic Rip, Hysteric Barrage and Disseverment I am using Jaridah. I know that Enkidu are best, but I dont have a group that does ZNMs. I dont have Magus Bazubands +1. Outside of that, all that is left is Palla/Alky.

Would Palla/Alky be worth it for those spells? I would think that the -Dex would cancel out the bonus from the +Str.

I could be wrong. Any help is appreciated.

Palla's/Alky are only useful for Str+ spells. Disseverment and Frenetic rip are Str+ Dex+ mods and Hysteric Barrage is Dex+ mod.

Just gonna put it out there, you could probably merc Enkidu's Mittens for less than the going rate on Alkys. I know they're cheaper here.

Anyway,

Alky's, Pallas', Mirage NQ, Enkidu's

Frenetic Rip + Disseverment:

Alky's: 11/4+(11-6*.2)*.83=3.58 base damage
Pallas's: 9/4+(4*.2)*.83=2.914 base damage
Mirage NQ: 5*.2*.83=0.93 base damage
Enkidu's: 4/4+(8*.2)*.83=2.329 base damage

Hysteric Barrage:

Alky's: 11/4-6*.3*.83=1.256 base damage
Pallas's: 9/4-5*.3*.83=1.005 base damage
Mirage NQ: 5*.3*.83=1.245 base damage
Enkidu's: 4/4+4*.3*.83=1.996 base damage

Rushing out to dinner or I'd actually explain what's going on up there. Basically it's the base damage increase from each piece assuming capped accuracy. If accuracy is uncapped with not-Enkidu's, it wins automatically.

tl;dr version: Pallas' are ok but you should really find a way to get Enkidu's.

Right, which is why I'm not using them right now. But I have seen "Blu Gear Guides" that list them for those spells. And was wondering if they were full of ***of maybe there was something behind it.

I just kinda feel lame for using the Jaridah for the lol Acc +3. Should I just use my Dusk and have the 5% Haste for those casts? Or are there any other Hands out there that would be useful?

Kinda more or less what I expected. Thanks for the math tho, at least give me something I can "touch" to see whats going on.

And thanks for reminding me about Relic Hands, I forgot they have Dex on them. I thought they were just Mnd and Eva.

Hyseric: .249

W/ CA

1 str adds to base dmg:

Frip/disservement: .582
Hysteric barrage: .25

1 Dex adds:

Frip/diss: .332
Hyseric: .498

8+ Blue magic skill +(STR/2) = blue magic att


just means pallas/alkys are better than past thought if you cap acc for Disseverment and Frentic rip
