I really dig that NYT election tracker. It's basically a sporting event for nerds.
On that note, it looks like Jones has it. I'm now interested in what Franken will do.... Doug Jones beats Roy Moore.
YouTube Video Placeholder Its being called for Jones, only the big cities are left and he is running away with them. Its a huge loss for Trump, but the GOP establishment dodges a bullet, they don't have to deal with Moore, who only wrote one speech apparently.
Franken will resign at the end of this session I'm guessing, which based on the current calender, they are adjourning on the 22nd. Bahamut.Ravael said: » I'm now interested in what Franken will do.... He might resign if the seat is safely in a Democrats hands and the DNC feels they need to remove the bad press. Looks like the Dems pulled a win in Alabama, looking at the voting area's it's mostly City vs Rural with heavy blue turnout. Alabama is a heavy red state but many people simply weren't motivated to go and vote so there you have it. On a note, the tally is less then 10K difference and there still remains approximately 50~60K votes to count. So it's still possible for Moore to win, but the projections are pretty clear that he's probably going to fall short cause the areas with the most uncounted votes are blue.

Hopefully he will go back to SNL they could use the help. ... because he's good enough, he's smart enough, and gosh darn it! People like him!
Didn't Shelby win as a Democrat in 14 or something and changed to Republican while in office or did I misunderstand?

He's lost, not super popular and DNC poured a ton of money against him. I don't expect Jones to be there after 2020. Yeah, Moore is refusing to concede, not exactly shocking, he has now become the gift that keeps on giving.
