I had a well thought out question and when I hit submit I got the "Thread Locked (!)"...
So, starting from scratch.
Would like to see what is considered the pinnacle NIN TP/WS sets. Situations are situational so the topic is loaded but lets go off a general consensus of middle ground. I think its easy for us eyeballers to scale up or down based on Acc and whatnot. Kannagi mainhand but of course, Relic/Mythic holders exist.
Disclaimer: If situations need to be addressed, by all means do so. I've been sidelined from the game for awhile so I'm all for a happy medium, if that exists. Thanks.

Right on, its hard to decipher the NIN threads, so much opinions and off-topicness.
That thread has pages of nothing.
Alls well but be nice to have some serious sets posted.

I'm more or less hoping to see this thread take off like Sylow's DNC or Proth's BLU thread.
Meaning good and detailed advice sans the ***, unfortunately I'm not the one to do it.
I can solo my *** off on NIN but that's... Typical. Anyone who tries at this game can succeed
but not everyone can supply the hows and whys.
Edit: My intentions are clearer now, off to a good start I think.

Sorry, that came off bitchier than I intended but I was genuinely confused at first if you were just trolling because the other thread got nuked, that's why I deleted it right away (although apparently not fast enough). My apologies.

With gnarled horn, apoc and razed ruins, using galbir's set as an example, is haidate with +4% crit hit dmg inferior to koga +2? (this is for abyssea only).
Outside its obvious better for fodder stuff of course.

Consensus says this is pretty much the best TP set at the moment.
There's been some discussion about whether Porthos Byrnie (haste +5%, triple attack +2%) or AF1+1 (DW +5%) comes in second to Thaumas. Someone (can't remember who offhand) showed math that proved AF1+1 is slightly better than porthos.
I wear porthos, but that's just because it's shiny and orange. Bad role model, I know.
TL;DR Thaumas Coat > AF1+1 Body > Porthos Byrnie
EDIT: Here's that math: Kaerin's Math

Does this beat/even out Koga Hands/Legs+2 set?
I got the Hakama +2'd this morning but just not sure if the combined 6% DA from Nomkahpa Mittens and Thaumas Nails and capped haste beats out the 7% dual wield on Hakama+2.
Edit: Don't mind the Kamome, working on STR Katana <.<

I think it would be nice to have a well thought out and highly informative post for Nin, but this thread doesnt even come close to what Skylow and Proth did. They put plenty of time into detailing everything about Dnc and Blu respectively. They not only showed sub jobs, weapon choices, gear sets, merits and roles themselves, but also talked about the relative merits of each. They are experts in those job classes both in game play and in understanding game mechanics. Unfortunately this thread shares none of those qualities. There is no guide. Since you do not post any information yourself you cannot back it up either.
I do however think that someone could make an all inclusive guide to Nin and you might be the person to do it. But you have to put tons more into it than this to even be in the same ball park as what those guys did. I wish you the best in your efforts. If you succeed it will be appreciated by many.

If you want horrible advice by someone who 100% copies a spreadsheet with bad data that calculates things improperly a lot and someone who doesn't even play the job, sure.
Also a NIN guide shouldn't exist at all because this is all you need to know about ninja:
Are you inside abyssea? If yes, play NIN.
Are you outside abyssea? If yes, go to mog house, change to a real job.

Soooo then why do you have listed in your Item sets "NIN Blade: Hi Outside" and "NIN TP Outside"
Just curious :3

That was before I leveled dancer and realized it does like 90 more DPS than NIN outside abyssea.

By that logic if a job is out-dps'd by another then it's no longer a real job. You're either the best of the best of the best dancers out there and you have never been out-dps'd by anyone or any other job, or your logic is just a little silly.

I actually can't remember the last time RDM could've been considered a real job, it's been so long.
