We are talking about the overall result of Perle Hauberk and Kirin Osode, but thanks for the gear advice. Either way no one has come back and said "here is proof Kirin osode is better" so i will continue to use perle until told otherwise.

Wyvern Helm +1 = STR+6
Ace's Helm = STR+4
6 > 4
Edit: As for the body, Osode has more STR than Perle body too. The extra attack from Perle body is doing little to nothing for y/g/k.

Ratio is doubled for Gekko, rendering attack a nonfactor on all but the most defensive targets (hi2u JoL). If what you say is true and you found Perle to be superior on a specific target, Byrnie +1 would be better still and is clearly within your budget. For most targets, Osode will be superior. Yeah Gekko comes pre buffed with an 100% Cratio bonus (sort of an attack bonus, as some like to call it for simplicity's sake), and also an accuracy bonus. Which is why people tend to gear it with mostly STR.

Aside from telling you the cratio is doubled therefore rendering +attack useless on anything but the hardest of enemies? Osode/Wyvern helm/Smilodon +1 is what you're missing. As for Perle > Osode just lol. You'd have a point with Rana, but in that case Haub+1 >

This, basically. Attack means so little for gkt samurai (relic excluded) that sacrificing haste, accuracy, or moving from 5 to 6 hit for attack is just silly. If you're like me, using 5-hit sTP keito, then you need an sTP body. ACP is tied up with another job, and I don't have Usu body, leaving either Askar or Domaru, neither of which have acc on. Salvage eats my assault tags, so it's Domaru. If you wanna argue that I'm better off using a 6-hit, then lol, good luck.

You`d only have a 7-hit in full perle with a rose strap if u dont have 5/5 Store TP merits. With Raja`s, Brutal, Chiv, Rose Strap and Ecphoria ring you could get 6-hit with 4 merits.
So it all depends on how many Stp merits you currently have

I'm going to be honest... If you are still using a Domaru, you are nothing short of an imbecile...
Let's look at alts for a Domaru, shall we?
 haubergeon - On Asura = 38K, at most 50K on Ifrit. Solid piece for TPing in, can't go wrong with it. And cheap as hell... Speaking of cheap...
 perle hauberk - On Asura = 15K, at most again on Ifrit for 25K. Practically a Domaru +0.5 for WSes, and a Hauby 0.8 for TPing in (Assuming you don't have the full set, I can only assume if you have a Domaru you don't have a Rose Grip, Rajas Ring or Goading Belt to support Full Perle and a 6 hit though), you can't argue with it, it is the best you will get for the price short of buying a single Bonanza Marble and somehow winning with some huge amount of fluke.
In short, it is no longer about price, or difficulty of obtainability, you could do 20 minutes (if not less) of Abyssea and have that body, or you could simply farm a little, 1 and a half stacks of Ladybugs wings (Roughly) is all it would take.
In summary/TL;DR: You look like an idiot wearing a Domaru. NPC it, and move on to something better.
(Sidenote: On most servers Domaru are AHing for cheaper than they NPC for, which is 18K btw)
